Kakobuy Spreadsheet vs Search: Which One Should You Use?
Three search boxes can serve three different tasks. Choose the one that matches whether you need inspiration, a smaller shortlist or a broader catalog search.
Browse the spreadsheet to discover items, filter a collection to narrow its selected records, and use header Search for the external catalog. An empty collection result does not establish that the item is unavailable everywhere.
What you will learn
- Know the scope before interpreting a result count.
- Start with an item type, then narrow one criterion at a time.
- Keep the exact product reference when leaving the spreadsheet.
Choose the tool for the question
A spreadsheet organizes a selection. It is useful when you want to compare product types, photos and reference prices without searching every source marketplace yourself. Search is useful when you already have a type, phrase or reference in mind.
On this site, a collection’s filter only covers that selected collection. The full spreadsheet covers all selected records, while header Search submits your words to the external catalog in a new tab.
| Your task | Start here | What the result means |
|---|---|---|
| I want winter ideas | Winter collection | An editorial seasonal selection |
| I want boots within an item budget | Boots collection and price fields | Matching selected records whose full price range fits |
| I want to search the broader catalog | Header Search | External catalog results for the terms you entered |
| I already saved one product | Its exact product link | A route back to that specific record |
Example: from winter boots to a shortlist
Start in Boots rather than typing a brand name into every category. Compare the title, recorded range and seller photograph, then set a maximum item budget. If the remaining results are still broad, add a descriptive term that appears in the product names.
Change one condition at a time. If a term returns no result, remove it before concluding the category is empty. A filter does not translate every synonym or inspect the product’s actual materials.
Open the same product’s Research notes if you want the recorded details here. Use its image, title or View product button to open the corresponding live catalog listing. Keep the original tab for comparison.
Understand what the price filter includes
The entire recorded price range must fit the selected minimum and maximum. If a product ranges from $12 to $28, a $20 maximum excludes it even if one option starts below $20. Missing prices cannot qualify while a budget is active.
This makes a shortlist more consistent, but it does not reserve an option at that amount. Recheck the live selected-option price and delivery costs before treating the shortlist as an order budget.
Finish the search with a verifiable item
A useful search ends with an exact listing, not just a similar thumbnail. Compare the item reference, seller information and selected size or colour when moving into a buying service.
If that service cannot read the source link, clarify support for the listing. Do not replace an unparsed item with an unconfirmed price or an option guessed from a photo.
Find and compare the right listing
Choose a search scope, compare similar records and keep an exact shortlist before your first order.
